Something wicked this way comes...

As some of you may have seen, I ran a free book promotion the first week of March, and it went better than I ever expected. I didn't really know what to expect, to be honest. What's a good number? 20? Daily? 100? 1000? So I set a goal, that I thought was reasonable: 300 for the full work week.
Saturday morning I checked and the number surpassed 500! 506 to be exact. And as the competitive side of me thought, "Well, shit. I should've gotten a thousand." The reality is more shocking. There are now over 500 people, worldwide, that have my book downloaded through their iPhones, Androids, tablets and/or Kindles.
That's nuts! At least to me. An indie author who has just as much weight behind his name as a blind person threading needles for a living (No offense to the vision impaired. Not that you're reading this anyway...) now has readers from United States (East and West coast); Bucharest and Constanta, Romania; Helsinki in Finland; Moscow and Tyumen, Russia; Paris and La Rochelle, France; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Eldoret, Kenya; Manila, Phillipines; Shanghai, China; Cuernavaca, Morelos and San Pedro, Mexico. And those aren't even all of them.
I have name dropped and I am proud! It's beautiful how art can transcend borders, states, countries and language.
Point is: thank you. Salamat. Je vous remercie. Spasibo. Gracias. Xiexie. Kiitos. Asante. Multumesc. Danke!!! To those of you that actually support me and read my distasteful works of fiction. I couldn't be more humble.
As of this morning, I have begun writing on the second entry in the Professional Murder series: Inviolable. Now, The Red Door, in which, I hope, is released within the next two weeks is considered a novelette; Inviolable will again be a full-length novel. So, it's going to take me a little while. Right now, I'm aiming for a Fall 2016 release.
Stay tuned, ladies and gentlemen. Something wicked this way comes.
